This Privacy Policy describes how Littoral Games (“Littoral Games,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and retains information in connection with RomeTD, our mobile tower defense game, and related services offered on the Apple App Store (the “Game”). It is written to meet Apple App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1.

By downloading, installing, or playing the Game, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Game.

1. Who we are

Littoral Games is the developer and publisher of RomeTD, a mobile tower defense game. This Policy applies to RomeTD on the Apple App Store. It does not apply to unrelated prototypes or other product directions that are not listed under this name.

2. What we collect

We collect only what is needed to run, improve, and (where enabled) monetize the Game. We do not require you to create an account to play. Depending on the features you use, this may include:

Device and technical data. Device type, operating system and version, language, time zone, country or region derived from IP address, app version, crash logs, performance diagnostics, and similar technical information.
Advertising identifiers. Apple’s Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA), if you grant permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, we do not use IDFA for tracking. We may still use Apple’s non-tracking attribution tools (such as SKAdNetwork) as provided by Apple.
Gameplay and usage data. Level and wave progress, tower placement and upgrades, settings, session length, feature use, and similar tower-defense events, stored on device and, where analytics are enabled, sent in aggregated or pseudonymous form.
Purchase data. If you buy in-app products, Apple processes the payment. We receive confirmation of the product purchased, a transaction identifier, and restoration status. We do not receive your full payment card number.
Communications you send us. If you email support, we process the address and content of that message in order to reply.
Information stored on your device. Save data, settings, and similar files stored locally (for example via the operating system or game engine). This stays on the device unless a cloud-save or backup feature is enabled.

We do not collect government ID numbers, precise GPS location, contacts, photos, microphone audio, or health data unless a future RomeTD feature needs them and we update this Policy and Apple’s App Privacy labels first.

3. How we collect it

Automatically from the Game client, the Unity (or similar) game engine, Apple operating-system APIs, and crash / analytics SDKs we embed.
From Apple when you complete an App Store purchase or restore purchases.
Directly from you if you contact us.
From advertising and attribution partners, only as allowed by Apple after any required tracking permission.

4. How we use it

To operate, secure, and debug the Game (app functionality, fraud prevention, crash repair).
To save progress and remember settings.
To fulfill and restore in-app purchases.
To understand how the Game is used and to improve it (analytics).
To show ads or measure ad and install campaigns, if advertising is enabled, using identifiers only as permitted by Apple.
To respond to support requests and to comply with law.

We do not use the Game to sell your personal information, and we do not use your data to make automated decisions that produce legal effects about you.

5. Sharing with third parties

We share information only as needed to provide the Game:

Apple. App Store distribution, in-app purchase, Game Center if enabled, push notifications if enabled, and Apple’s privacy / attribution frameworks. Apple’s privacy practices are described at apple.com/legal/privacy.
Engine and infrastructure providers. For example Unity Technologies and hosting or crash-reporting vendors that process technical data on our behalf.
Analytics providers. To measure gameplay and stability in pseudonymous form.
Advertising partners (only if RomeTD shows ads). Ad networks and measurement partners may receive device and advertising identifiers, coarse location derived from IP, and interaction data, subject to Apple’s tracking rules and your ATT choice.
Legal and safety. If required by law, or to protect players, Littoral Games, or the public.

We require service providers that process personal data for us to protect it with safeguards that are at least as protective as this Policy and Apple’s App Store Review Guidelines.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising except as described above for in-game ads, and then only with a lawful basis and required notices / permissions.

6. Ads, tracking, and your Apple controls

RomeTD is a free-to-play tower defense game and may show rewarded or interstitial ads. Advertising partners may use advertising identifiers to personalize or measure ads.

On iOS, tracking across other companies’ apps and websites requires your permission via App Tracking Transparency. You can also reset or limit ad tracking in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security. Declining tracking does not block the Game; ads, if any, may be less relevant.

7. Children

RomeTD is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have done so, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Retention and deletion

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above: local save data until you delete the Game or clear app data; analytics and crash logs typically for a limited operational period (generally up to 24 months unless a shorter SDK default applies); support emails until the request is resolved and for a reasonable archive period; purchase records as required for accounting and fraud prevention.

You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data we hold by emailing privacy@littoralgames.com. We will respond within a reasonable period and as required by applicable law. Uninstalling the Game deletes local data on that device. We cannot delete information held solely by Apple (for example your Apple ID or App Store purchase history); use Apple’s own account tools for that.

You may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (for example ATT) through the same system prompt or device settings. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.

9. International users (including GDPR and similar laws)

If you are in the European Economic Area, UK, or another region with similar rules, we process personal data to perform the contract of providing the Game, based on our legitimate interests in running a stable and honest game, and/or based on consent where required (advertising identifiers / tracking). You may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, and port your data, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Data may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate transfer safeguards.

10. California and similar U.S. state laws

We do not sell personal information as “sale” is commonly defined. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted. To request to know, delete, or correct personal information, email privacy@littoralgames.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to a mobile game (HTTPS for network traffic we control, limited access to systems, vendor contracts). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

12. Changes

We may update this Policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
